Bandsaw Boxes: Design, Cut and Assemble!

The bandsaw is a fabulously versatile machine.  It can rip, cross-cut, resaw and cut curves like nobody’s business. For that very reason, the bandsaw box was born.  Bandsaw boxes are made by starting with one solid piece of wood, cutting into concentric slices or shapes, and then selectively gluing those shapes back together to make a lidded box, a fun shape with a pull out drawer, or a secret compartment for your treasures. This project is a fun way to get to learn about the nature of wood and get comfortable using a bandsaw.

In this hands-on workshop, you will design, cut and assemble a bandsaw box in just one session.  We will also discuss and try a handful of surface design techniques.

Beginners welcome – this class is open to women and non-binary folks age 18+.
