Community Partnerships

SkillSet builds skills in the community, and we want to expand.

Reaching a broad audience of soon-to-be makers and designers sometimes means the education itself must be mobile. While our home base is the STEAM Studio of UNC Asheville, we are also take our curriculum on the road with the help of grants, donors, and organizational partnerships.

Most recently, through support provided by the American Association of University Women, SkillSet was able to collaborate with Hanger Hall School (Asheville), the Alex Foundation (Arkansas), and GirlUp GVL (South Carolina) to provide on-site curriculum in tool use, building, and teamwork.

Have an idea for a class, workshop, or project in your classroom, organization, or community? We would love to share our skills, knowledge, and tools with you! Custom on-site programming is available in the Asheville area and beyond!
